Recently some academics from the mathematical community started a ban on Elsevier. This was spurred by the editorial company's support of the RWA and by, what seems to be, a greedy commercial policy. Now Elsevier is giving it a thought and changing some of its policies, is it? If that is the case, then academic rebellion, coordination, and self-empowerment among other things is proving to be a strong force, what can we expect to come in the near future?
